Cloud Deployment Model – Runnel Blogs

Cloud computing refers to deliver computer services like storage, database, hosting, app, etc. on-demand via the internet. Companies pay for the services that they are exactly taking. But it is cheaper than IT infrastructures and maintenance; there is no startup cost.

Cloud Deployment models are categorized into three types:

  • Public Cloud
  • Private Cloud
  • Hybrid Cloud

Described below

1.Public Cloud: The public cloud deployment model refers openly to all. Here services are rendered by third party providers. Customers share the same network devices, hardware, and software with other clients. Clients are charged as per the head system. The client has no control over the infrastructure or management system. For reducing costs, it is the best option. It has some advantages like:

-It reduces the new product’s developing, testing, and launching time.

-It has a pay as per your usage advantage.

-It reduces infrastructure costs.

2.Private Cloud: Private cloud deployment model is operated and used by a single company. It can be physically located at the company’s data center, or a third party can manage this. These staffing, management, and maintenance resources are shared only with the company’s employees. They have control all over the infrastructure and management system. In terms of risk, it is less risky but costly. If you are concerned about security, this option is best for you. It has some advantages like:

-As resources are not shared publicly, it has high security.

-The company has full control over the system, which enhances reliability.

-Customization of the cloud environment is possible in this model.

3.Hybrid Cloud: Hybrid cloud refers to the combination of public and private clouds through their entities remaining separate. Both internal and external providers can provide resources. A company can use any of the clouds to move data depending on its purpose. For example, if the data is less sensible, it can use the public cloud. To transfer sensitive data, it can use a private cloud. If you want both security and flexibility, the hybrid cloud is the best option for you. It has some advantages like:

-You can choose to allocate resources as you want.

-You can use this in pick time to meet the need for the new cloud or extra.

-You can both secure data and interact with a customer in this model.
